Glenn Johnson, DaBaby's, brother has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Rapper, Da Baby, experiences another family death. In 2019, he opened up about the death of his father who passed away the same week as Nipsey Hussle. His second album carried his family name, “Kirk”. Unfortunately, Da Baby is faced with another family death. His older brother, Glen Johnson, took his own life Tuesday in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident happened in a parking lot on Berkeley Place Drive off Mallard Creek Church Road.
Glen had posted a video of himself earlier in the day in a car with a gun, and he was visibly upset and crying. In the video, DaBaby’s brother claimed he had been wronged a lot in the past. Not long afterward, our sources say he shot himself in the head and died.
Da Baby previously mentioned his brother's struggles on his 2019 lead single Intro from his second studio album Kirk.
"My brother be thinkin’ that we don’t love him and let him struggle like we ain’t family, Like I won’t give up all I got to see you happy," Da Baby raps on the intro of his album.
HotMess has reached out to Da Baby's team, yet no response. The rapper has yet to publicly address the tragedy, but has remained active on social media throughout Tuesday.
