The contentious divorce between rapper Dr. Dre and estranged wife Nicole Young has hit another sour note.
A letter sent to Young by attorneys for Record One, the recording studio co-founded by Dr. Dre in 2015, claims she committed “blatant and unjustifiable criminal embezzlement" by removing more than $350,000 from the company’s bank account in August, TMZ reported.
An image of a check worth $353,571.85 that Young apparently wrote to herself was obtained by TMZ from a Record One attorney. Young was a signatory on the account, according to the site.
The company reportedly plans to file a lawsuit against Young if she does not return the money by Tuesday.
In a lawsuit last week, Young accused Dr. Dre, her husband of 24 years, of hiding assets from her following
“years of domination, control, abuse and mistreatment.”
Young’s lawyer denied the embezzlement allegations.
“This is just a low-grade PR stunt by Andre and his team to try to change the fact that he was caught red-handed and sued for trying to cheat Nicole out of community property to which she is entitled,"
Bryan Freedman said in a statement, referring to the 55-year-old Dr. Dre
