The man suspected to have shot two Louisville, Kentucky, police officers has now been taken into custody according to local news sources.
WLKY-TV reported this morning Larynzo Johnson, a 26-year-old black male, has been arrested:
A suspect is in custody after two Louisville Metro police officers were wounded in a shooting Wednesday evening downtown. He’s been identified as Larynzo Johnson. He’s charged with 14 counts of wanton endangerment on police officer and two counts of assault on police officer. The shooting occurred after 8:30 p.m. when officers were notified of a large crowd gathering near South Brook and East College streets.
According to Fox News, a police statement noted around 100 arrests took place on Wednesday night in Louisville after those who took place in the Breonna Taylor riots refused to disperse. They were charged with violating curfew and unlawful assembly. Curfew was implemented to go into effect at 9:00 p.m. and last until 6:30 the following morning.
